Quiche

1  (9-inch) deep dish pie shell
8  oz. shredded Swiss cheese
1 1/2   cup half & half
1/2   tsp. salt
1/4   tsp. nutmeg
1/4   tsp. white pepper
4  eggs

Optional:  Ham, bacon (crisp), or cooked spinach.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Sprinkle cheese (add optional toppings at this point) over bottom crust.  Blend remaining ingredients until mixed. Pour over cheese.  Bake until top is golden and center is set.  Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, and serve warm.  Serves 6 to 8.
